Colonel John Franklin leader of Connecticut land claimants served in the Sullivan campaign 1779. Imprisoned in 1787-1789 for leading new State movement he later served in the Pennsylvania legislature he moved to Athens, Pennsylvania in 1789 and died in 1831.
